Industrial standards
are cornerstones
ISA-95
MEScontrol.net is based on the industrial ISA-95
standard for the development of Manufacturing
Execution Systems. That is why, MEScontrol.net
is fit for use in large and small production plants
and supports discrete, batch and continuous process
environments. ISA-95 defines the terminology and
the models for the integration of administrative
business systems with automation systems on the
shop-floor.
B2MML
B2MML (business-to-manufacturing markup language)
provides standard protocols and interfacing to
streamline information exchange between ERP and
MES about product definitions, scheduling, production
capacity, etc. B2MML is supported by all major
ERP suppliers, like SAP, Baan, Oracle, JD Edwards
and Microsoft.
OPC
The OPC standard (OLE for Process Control) specifies
the communication of real-time plant data between
control devices from different manufacturers.
MEScontrol.net exchanges data with OPC-compliant
equipment and software, without the need for specific
drivers and interfaces. OPC is supported by most
suppliers of industrial hardware and software,
like label printers, barcode scanners, RFID and
measuring devices, weighing scales, packing equipment,
PLCs and SCADA software. |
