Recipes define the ingredients of product definitions
A recipe in MEScontrol.net is related to a product definition and lists the ingredients the article is composed of, including the required quantities. For every ingredient, the recipe contains a reference to the product definition of the involved ingredient. Taking into account the unit of measurement of ingredients, MEScontrol.net calculates the relative percentage of ingredients in the recipe and can allocate the necessary resources.

Flexibility thanks to versioned product definitions
Product definitions may feature multiple user-defined versions. Each version contains slightly different specifications for almost the same product. Apart from meeting customer-specific demands, versions help to keep product variation on the shop-floor manageable.
